Things to do in the Winter in North Idaho
Winter is here!
It’s finally the season when that cup of hot cocoa is enjoyed the most and the inner sculptor is unleashed while building a snowman. Whether it’s skating on ice or having snowball fights, there are a lot of reasons that make winter enjoyable! My favorite activity is skiing and the cold is so much more manageable when enjoying the ample Christmas lights glistening off of the snow.
In North Idaho, there are a ton of fun winter activities to choose from. You can go snowshoeing, ice fishing, snowbiking, snowmobiling, or go snow skiing at Silver Mountain or Schweitzer.
Come to downtown Coeur D’Alene where there are amazing attractions and great events this winter that are fun for the whole family.
Here are some that you can include in it:
These warm and cozy waterproof igloos are a great place for guests to enjoy food and drinks together with the scenic view of Lake Coeur D’Alene and the Marina.
Be captivated by the amazing fireworks display and enchanting Light Show at the annual lighting ceremony in downtown Coeur d'Alene. See a castle, a dragon, Santa and his reindeers, and much, much more while cruising aboard the Journey to the North Pole. You can also meet Santa at his toy workshop where he reads the Nice List.
Did we mention that the tallest living Christmas tree (162 feet) can be seen here, as well?
Have fun skating at the outdoor ice skating rink at McEuen Park. You can also enjoy hot cocoa, Crumbl Cookies, Bean & Pie hand pies, popcorn & more!, at their on-site Snack Shack!
Explore and enjoy the fantastic food scenery, breweries, and unique shops in downtown CDA. There’s simply plenty to do here!
At the end of the day, you can also get that chance to experience that wonderful feeling of coming home to your warm and cozy lakefront property — all snug in nature with that priceless view of Lake Coeur d’Alene.
